Impact

What the quiz changes

It makes learning worth celebrating

Cash prizes, national media coverage and a final in front of the University’s leadership put academic excellence in the spotlight usually reserved for sport and entertainment.

It reaches beyond the big cities

Schools in rural and remote areas compete alongside city schools, and recent champions have come from Yola, Uyo and Oyo.

Girls and boys, side by side

Every mixed school fields one girl and one boy, so balance is built into the competition itself.

A first step towards university

Finalists visit the University of Ibadan, and the Sigma Club sees today’s secondary school students as tomorrow’s university scholars.

When you engage in competitions like this, it is not just about winning.

A powerful testament to the club’s unwavering commitment to grassroots education.
